OUR STORY

Hundred Mile Brewing Co. was born from an “aha” moment in 2014, when founder Sue Rigler spotted a microscope while on a brewery tour in Whitefish, MT. With a degree in Microbiology from ASU and a lifelong love of good beer, something clicked.

Sue’s passion for beer and community started early. She collected beer cans and wore Budweiser shirts when she was 10. Growing up in Iowa where neighbors are like family and front-yard gatherings brought people together, that spirit of connection lives on at HMBC. We create space for people to slow down and share something meaningful whether over a pint, a meal, or engaging conversations. Friendships are made right here.

Sue met co-founder Todd Kessel in 2015, when her lifelong friend (and Todd’s sister) said , “You have to meet my brother. He builds breweries in Arizona!” Four decades after her ASU days, Sue’s dream came full circle when Todd helped build HUNDRED MILE BREWING CO.

We officially opened our doors in December 2022, proudly rooted in craft, community, and connection.

Top Notch Spot

Perfect vibe whether you’re with the family, group of friends from home, or at a work party. But what really stands out is the owner and staff - super friendly, down-to-earth, they make you feel part of the community.

We can't wait to go back and visit!

Very few people have left an impression on me like Sue. Her positive-strong-fun-determined energy is contagious. Thank you you for being kind to a stranger and his family. You now have friends in us.
